2020 YPC Academy Info Session at the LGBT Community Center
Thinking about joining the 2020 YPC Academy class? Join us for an Information Session to learn more about the Academy, the application process, and get your questions answered!
The YPC Academy helps to expand the ranks of young LGBTQ leaders who are ready to further equality for our community through board service for a variety of agencies, not-for-profit organizations, and government commissions. Approximately 20 candidates will be selected for the 2020 class.
Past Academy graduates, along with YPC Academy staff will be present to answer questions.
Participation in the information session is not a requirement for admission, however those interested in applying are highly encouraged to attend.

LGBT Community Center
The San Diego Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center, Inc., (d.b.a., The Center) is the nation's second oldest and third largest LGBT community center. Functioning as the LGBT community's anchor organization, The Center is led by a 20-member board of directors, employs over 40 paid staff and utilizes more than 800 community volunteers to achieve its twin goals of promoting LGBT health and human rights. The Center provides direct program services to the many different facets of the LGBT community, including men, women, youth, seniors, families, LGBT Latino community members and their families, and those struggling with HIV. Last year The Center provided more than 50,000 direct service visits to San Diego community members, and through its events, activities and advocacy, touched the lives of thousands more.
