The topic of this training will be hate crimes & incidents, resources available to victims, and basic scene preservation

More details

This will be a great opportunity to receive some training from outside organizations. Training will be provided by San Diego Police Department, Office of the San Diego City Attorney, City of San Diego Human Relations Commission & International Affairs, and San Diego LGBT Community Center. It’s the goal to have patrol volunteers receive valuable information on issues we may encounter while on patrol or at events. Please feel free to bring a possible future patrol volunteer (just let us know so we can ensure there is enough room) and remember to wear your volunteer patrol shirt for a group photo opportunity. Light breakfast food, juice, and coffee will be provided. All event updates will be posted to this event notification. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on Saturday, October 7th from 9:30-12:30am at The Center!

Last year The Center provided more than 50,000 direct service visits to San Diego community members, and through its events, activities and advocacy, touched the lives of thousands more.
